Culinary vacations in Sicily

A new destination that will surprise you with an unexpectedly unforgettable culinary and cultural experience

Syracuse (Siracusa in Italian), inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005, is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns in Sicily. Founded in 734 B.C., just 20 years after Rome, it became one of the most important and powerful cities of the Mediterranean Sea after defeating Carthago and Athens, until the Roman conquest in 270 B.C. Cicero described it as the greatest Greek city in the world. Today some of the most spectacular and well preserved Greek and Roman ancient ruins are still silent witnesses of that magnificence, including the second largest Greek theater in the world.
